Broadcasting is a very important element that each chapter should have and express. Specifically, when I say “Broadcasting”, I am referring to a form of communication where the chapter should create an easy and simple way in reaching all members. Whether it is through email, GroupMe, school announcements, or another unique process, each chapter needs to have an outlet to members so chapter projects, community services, or events can be received by the member body. Getting your members involved within your chapter is one of the most crucial tasks in having a productive and successful chapter. By making all members feel engaged and not just the ones that are already involved, it will create a chapter with less inactive members and free stress from chapter officers. You must especially remember to get as many members involved in the Honors in Action and College Projects. Member engagement is very important for these projects because HIA and CP are not only created to test your research skills, but also created to inspire corporation among groups of people and provide all members with leadership opportunities. Work together to create a strong and indestructible member body, so that all Phi Theta Kappans in your community will feel engaged!
